OSAO is one of the biggest vocational colleges in Finland and we have eight different units. The regional units are located in six municipalities in the Oulu region: Kempele, Liminka, Muhos, Oulu, Pudasjärvi and Taivalkoski.
OSAO Haukipudas unit has about 1300 students and 120 staff members. The unit provides vocational and further vocational qualifications and offers working life based education and training in:

In Business and Administration, we offer an International IB career related program. This program is taught entirely in English.

OSAO Kempele-Liminka unit has about 900 students and 100 staff members. The unit has facilities south of Oulu in Kempele and Liminka. The unit provides vocational, further vocational and specialized vocational qualifications. OSAO Pudasjärvi is small and cozy unit an hour’s drive to from Oulu and half an hour from Syöte National Park. Due to the region’s log house industry and tourism, the unit has become a multidisciplinary trainer that meets the needs of the area.
OSAO Pudasjärvi unit has about 170 students and 20 staff members. The unit provides vocational qualifications and offers working life based education and training in:

The operations of Virpiniemi Sports Institute in Virpiniemi ended on December 31, 2022. Virpiniemi Sports Institute will continue its operations in Oulu as part of OSAO’s Kontinkangas unit.
